I'm busy!
I haven't written in a while because I hate writing for the sake of it with
nothing to say. You all get enough emails, invites, requests and pokes to be
extra annoyed by me.
However when I got 3 emails over two weeks asking why I haven't written,
something has been coming up more and more which leads me to the following.
You all have busy lives. Whether it's being a mom, a wife, a student, a
daughter, or an employee. This doesn't even include the life that you
try to have
for yourself.
Have you noticed the phrase coming out of your mouth more often than not
being 'I've been really busy, sorry' ?
The reason is because you have been.
However, the reason you find time to do the other things is not because this
'blackhole' of time just mysteriously opened up, but becuase you MADE time
for it.
Time is not given, it's made.
In your value system, you have prioritized certain things and people. Not
right, not wrong, just what you have done based on your value system. BUT when
you don't return someone's call in a timely matter, or you don't accomplish
what you promised to do for certain people, or you don't take the
time to learn
that activity you keep talking about doing 'one day', you should rephrase 'I
have been busy' to an honest and more respectful answer of 'I haven't made
time, I'm sorry'.
Even though someone may not like hearing it, they will respect your honesty.
That means much more in life.
Remember one more thing, a lot of you preach karma or attraction or fate.
It's easy to do that when it's convenient. When it happens to you, then you
complain about that person not getting back to you, or making time to see you.
You lose the real people in your life when you don't put effort into the
relationships or activities.
I'm guilty of the same thing, so this isn't a judgment, but it is a wake up
call to reality. Consider it from a friend.
Again, sorry I didn't write in a while, but I've been busy.
